Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Welcomes the 11th Cohort of PhD Students in Mindfulness Innovation and Peace Studies

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand – 19 July 2026 – Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) officially welcomed the 11th Generation of doctoral candidates into its Mindfulness Innovation and Peace Studies (Stin Wattana Santisakul) PhD Program during a formal induction ceremony held at the University's Ayutthaya campus.

The welcoming ceremony brought together the Dean, faculty members, senior doctoral students from the 10th cohort, and newly admitted candidates in a celebration of scholarship, mindfulness, and a shared commitment to advancing peace through education and research.

One of the ceremony's most meaningful traditions was the presentation of the Nilekarn Symbol together with the faculty attire ceremony. These symbolic presentations represent the passing of knowledge, integrity, mindfulness, and service from one generation of scholars to the next, reinforcing the University's commitment to developing ethical leaders dedicated to creating positive change.

The new students were officially welcomed into the Stin Wattana Santisakul Family, joining a growing network of academics, professionals, and researchers working across disciplines to promote peacebuilding, justice, human rights, conflict resolution, and sustainable social development.

The Mindfulness Innovation and Peace Studies doctoral program combines Buddhist philosophy with modern research methodologies, encouraging students to develop practical solutions to contemporary legal, social, governmental, and humanitarian challenges.
